About the Job
When you work as an Associate Scientist on the Pharma LC-MS/MS team, you get to further our mission by being a contributing scientist on studies, with the ability to carry out all aspects from study setup and development, through reporting with some assistance. You will need to utilize a sturdy base in scientific principles/theory to assess data integrity and troubleshooting, while independently completing experiments.
Our Pharma LC-MS/MS lab team uses their knowledge in GLP (Good Laboratory Practices) and GCP (Good Clinical Practice) methods to support clients' regulatory submissions for drug discovery, preclinical, and clinical studies, including bioanalysis of drugs and metabolites, biomarkers, and active endogenous compounds in biological fluids and tissues.

In this role, we will rely on you to:
- Perform Sample Extraction Techniques using Protein Precipitation, Liquid-Liquid, and Solid Phase
- Perform sample pipetting and drug weighing
- Understand limited development of methods using LC-MS/MS, preferably Bioanalytical unless solely functioning as a MD scientist
- Ensure adequate supplies to initiate method development, sample preparation and analysis, data interpretation & review, troubleshooting and report preparation
- Design basic experiments & evaluate outcome vs. current best practices, protocols other relevant guidelines; recommend appropriate course of action as necessary
- Act as lead scientist, help to design experiments, provide work instructions and technical training to more junior scientific staff in daily activities
- Prepare data summaries for senior scientists to aid in client updates
- Interact with clients and/or auditors as necessary
- Act as a technical expert for all aspects of process design and problem solving
- Proficient at applicable software used for the position (i.e., Analyst, Watson, or equivalent)

To qualify specifically for this role, you will have:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field with 1-3 years of industry experience
- Experience working with LC-MS/MS equipment; SCIEX equipment experience preferred
- Good knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Good Clinical Practice (GCP)
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Strong technical writing and basic computer skills
- Willingness and ability to provide procedural training and coaching
- Perform all aspects of job in a way that supports company brand and supports company mission, vision, and values
