We are searching for two mission driven Associate Veterinarians to join the team at a Small Animal General, non-profit owned, community practice located in the San Francisco East Bay in CA. Current number of doctors – one
- Certifications: AAHA, working on Fear Free for practice
- Compensation $130K - $170K based on experience
- PTO – 120 hours (12 days)
- Non-compete not required
- Support staff ratio typically 4 to 1

Life/Work balance –4-10 schedule
Appointment schedule – flexible, can schedule 40 minutes per appointment if desired.
PTO – 120 hours/12 days total

On-call - none
ABOUT THE TEAM
Support to doctor ratio 4 – 1
Fear Free Certification – all team members, sponsored by practice
Other Certifications: AAHA
Priority/focus – mission driven, community based medicine, strong access to affordable care

ABOUT THE PRACTICE
Location: Oakland is an expensive community, and is part of the greater SF Bay area. The campus is in the heart of the community that they serve. There are homeless in the area and it tends to be a gritty community. However, the campus is an oasis and is beautiful. San Leandro is very close and is an affordable community with an easy commute to the campus. There is easy access to the ocean, to hiking and other outdoor activities along with a great foodie environment and close to SF with all it has to offer.
History - The East Bay SPCA (Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) has been an innovator in animal welfare since 1874! The practice is well-funded with fund raising, sponsors and grants.
Facility – well cared for and updated frequently
Equipment – excellent new/newer equipment including: 2022 digital radiology, 2 year old laser, new video otoscope, new ultrasound with excellent remote support and diagnostics including boarded radiologists
Additional Services Offered – Two HVSN clinics plus vaccine clinic. Community practice associates are not required to work in shelter clinic or vaccine clinic.

Compensation $130K - $170K DOE
Bonus: Retention – up to $20,000 annually
