About the Job
Bethany Family Pet Clinic, located in Portland, Oregon, is looking for a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join our team! We are proud to be AAHA accredited (since 1999!), Fear Free Certified, and AAFP Cat-Friendly Practice.
Our team of 10 doctors allows for flexible scheduling, and our collaborative atmosphere means you have plenty of brains to use for all cases. There are no on-call responsibilities since we have several referral/emergency locations nearby, and you’re never scheduled as a single doctor day.
About our clinic: Bethany Family Pet Clinic is a full-service companion animal practice, offering the gold standard in medical and surgical care. Our state-of-the-art facility was custom designed by Architecture Werks.

Our nine exam rooms are equipped with our electronic medical record software, AVImark. Diagnostic equipment includes in-house IDEXX and Zoetis units, send-out Antech, digital radiography, two dental suites with digital dental radiography, two ultrasound machines, Storz endoscopy equipment, video otoscopy, and Tonopen. Several of our doctors have advanced ultrasound training and one of our doctors uses endoscopy routinely for foreign body retrieval and intestinal biopsies. Any candidate with an interest in medicine will be stepping into a large caseload, with all the diagnostic capabilities. We also have two doctors certified in acupuncture, allowing us to offer multi-modal care. Furthermore, we utilize the services of a traveling internist and cardiologist weekly.
Our doctors perform a large variety of routine and advanced soft tissue surgeries, and dentistry, and one of our doctors is trained in TPLOs. We utilize our surgical laser almost daily in a spacious surgical suite, and also have a CryoPen. We have two therapeutic laser units and two PHOVIA units, which we frequently use on surgical incisions, as well as for wound care, skin issues, joint pain, etc.
Most importantly, we have phenomenal, experienced support staff who are crucial to the success of patient and client care. Doctors and technicians work together as a team each day! Our tech team’s input and observations are highly valued by all our doctors. Every doctor is supported by our incredible team of 8 CVTs alongside trained tech assistants and doctor’s assistants to help treat our loyal and continuously growing client base. One of our passions is learning as well as teaching, and we have developed a close relationship with Portland Community College's CVT program. We regularly take in both technician externs as well as veterinarian externs, and frequently have our reps in to teach about the latest vet med has to offer.
At Bethany Family Pet Clinic, we have worked very hard to create a collaborative environment, healthy work-life balance, and a well-fed and caffeinated team! We are lucky to have some great bakers on staff, so there are always delicious baked goods readily available. Bethany Village features some amazing restaurants.
About Portland, OR: Our practice is in Bethany Village, one of Portland’s fastest-growing communities. Our location offers premier shopping, notable restaurants, wineries, and amazing recreational activities. Hike Tualatin Valley, kayak down the Tualatin River, camp under the stars in Tillamook State Forest, or enjoy the Vineyard and Valley Scenic Tour.
