Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 12 years of leadership experience in facilities management, construction, transportation, or auxiliary services, with experience overseeing large, diverse teams and operations.

Additional Auxiliary Services:
- Supervise the operations center team, coordinating comprehensive support for campus management across the schools and units 24/7.
- Ensure the operations center is equipped to respond effectively to emergencies and maintain campus continuity.
- Oversee the teams responsible for mail and print services and select other ancillary services.
Cross-Cutting Responsibilities:
Infrastructure Management:
- Oversee the maintenance, operation, and improvement of campus buildings, grounds, and infrastructure, on a fee-for-service basis.
- Develop and implement comprehensive facilities management practices that include preventive maintenance, energy management, and sustainability initiatives.
- Collaborate with academic and administrative departments to meet the current and future infrastructure needs of the university, balancing service, sustainability, cost, and reliability.
- Foster project management best practices.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and standards.
Infrastructure Capital Planning, Construction and Renewal:
- Lead the planning and execution of district energy, utility, and parking infrastructure projects across campus.
- Work closely with architects, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Manage the capital budget for infrastructure projects, including the prioritization and allocation of resources.
Customer Service:
- Enhance the quality, efficiency, and profitability of services, ensuring they meet the needs of the campus community and support the university's mission by regularly engaging with University stakeholders.
- Implement customer service and marketing strategies to improve user satisfaction and engagement.
Safety and Risk Management:
- In partnership with Environmental Health and Safety, develop and oversee comprehensive safety and risk management policies for all infrastructure and auxiliary service operations.
- Promote a culture of safety across the new combined organization through training, communication, and compliance initiatives.
Strategic Planning and Budgeting:
- Oversee strategic planning for the areas of responsibility, partnering closely with other Campus Service and University leaders.
- Prepare and manage annual budgets for all areas of responsibility, ensuring fiscal responsibility and alignment with strategic priorities.
- Set fees and rates for customers through a transparent methodology, utilizing best practice service level agreements where applicable.
- Develop and monitor performance metrics and make data-driven decisions to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Leadership and Team Management:
- Serve as a member of the Vice President for Campus Services senior leadership team.
- Lead a diverse team of facilities, energy, transportation, and auxiliary services professionals.
- Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing work environment.
- Provide professional development opportunities and mentorship to staff.
