Job Description
NOTE: This position is offered as a hybrid role in the Seattle, WA area. You must be willing to work in office at the Nordstrom Seattle office a minimum of 3 days/week to be considered for this position.
Assortment Planners are accountable for delivering Category and Selection Plans (seasonal and non) that incorporate divisional product and JWN customer strategy in alignment with topline revenue, margin, and turn goals. They help identify gaps, and offer tangible solutions and ideas to drive the business. They partner with Assortment Planners and Buyers to achieve financial objectives and departmental strategies. They work closely Divisional Planning leaders, Assortment Planners and Buyers, Pre- and Post-Market, to ensure that strategies are aligned and go-forward plans incorporate current business trajectory. They deliver and action, along with buy squads, key insights from Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR's) including category performance, competitive analysis, selection planning, in partnership with the Assortment Assessment teams analytics and Ecommerce digital insights.
A day in the life...
+ Reconcile merchandise category and selection plans ensuring it captures key product and customer strategies and are achievable.
+ Collaborate and connect with divisional leaders and buy squads
+ Enhance, define and execute the assortment strategy by connecting category plans to the five factors of a healthy assortment
+ Partner with e-comm merchandisers to deliver selection plans across category and supplier by month
+ Deliver insights that drive action for key response functions relative to category and selection
You own this if you have...
+ 4+ years of experience as a multichannel/omni-channel retail merchandise Planner or equivalent role
+ Demonstrated understanding of retail and the service environment of Nordstrom
+ Proficiency in MS Office suite required
+ Experience in a relevant merchandise category
+ Strong analytical/math skills
+ Strong time management skills, attention to detail, problem solving, self-motivation, interpersonal and organizational skills - communication between functional groups is critical
+ Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills

Pay Range Details
The pay range(s) below are provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different in other locations.
Washington: $90,000 - $175,000 annually
This position may be eligible for performance-based incentives/bonuses. Benefits include 401k, medical/vision/dental/life/disability insurance options, PTO accruals, Holidays, and more.
