St. Paul Academy and Summit School is seeking applicants for the position of Boys Hockey Goalie Coach.
About St. Paul Academy and Summit School:
St. Paul Academy and Summit School (SPA) is a coeducational, non-sectarian, college preparatory day school serving more than 920 students in kindergarten through grade 12. Our two campuses are located approximately a mile apart in St. Paul, Minnesota, serving Grades K-5 on our Goodrich Campus and Grades 6-12 on our Randolph Campus. The school draws students from St. Paul, Minneapolis, and throughout the eastern and western suburbs.

Position Begins: November 2024
Status: Part-time, seasonal
Department: Athletics
Description:
The minimum time commitment includes weekday practice times after school (in or around 4:00 pm). Weekend availability might be included as the schedule demands. Season begins November 11th, 2024 and continues through early March, 2025.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Ability to communicate with student-athletes in grades 7-12, as well as parents and Athletic Department Administration
- Comprehensive knowledge of the game of Hockey and the skills needed to play goal keeper
- Coaching and/or playing experience preferred
- Experience/familiarity with MSHSL rules and be commitment to youth sports preferred
- Willingness and ability to work with the Athletic Department staff and fellow coaches
- Must meet all the MSHSL coaching requirements and be willing to complete school trainings and get CPR/AED certified

Provides effective supervision and evaluation of all players

Create a rapport with the great community, generating interest in the program

Show a willingness to create a compelling program where roles are clearly defined, opportunities are provided for all

Recognize contributions of all; impress upon the athletes and parents that their efforts are valued

Participate as a positive team member in the development and support of excellence within the Athletic Department.
