OVERVIEW
We are seeking to recruit an Athletic Facilities Building Attendant who will act as a supervisor and contact for all stakeholders using Ridley's indoor athletic facilities during evenings and weekends.
Hours of work are casual part-time generally during evenings 7-10pm and weekends or as determined to meet the demands of our athletic programming.
This role:
when on duty, will manage the operation of the athletic facilities in use:
open and close athletic facilities that are booked or required for use
manage equipment distribution & collection where required
report and record any incidents to Ridley's professional staff
maintain the sports facilities and equipment necessary, ensuring that they are functioning, in good condition and suitable for when required by stakeholders
communicate need for replacement and upgrading as warranted
will interact with and manage students, staff, faculty, and external rental groups using the facility, and address any issues or concerns during use and escalate as required
will complete other general duties as assigned, (ie: attendance tracking, crowd maintenance during tournaments, game day set up/tear down, scorekeeping of games)
QUALIFICATIONS
In process of completing or completion of post-secondary in a relevant field and at least 3 years' experience in a similar role.
Knowledge of and enforcement of scheduling, facility, and school policies
Organizational and time management skills with the ability to set priorities, multi-task and meet deadlines
Collaborative problem-solving skills and forward thinking when managing bookings and calendar of events.
Effective written and oral communication skills, active listening skills and able to build positive relationships
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Excel, Power point, Zoom and Skype
