Job Duties
What You’ll Do:
- Cultivate your career and fertilize your future
- Enhance the appearance and value of the athletic fields through the execution of daily grounds and turf maintenance
- Performs tasks necessary to accomplish the field conditions, turf management, and year-round maintenance goals
- Properly trim, mow, weed, paint the layout the field and so much more
- Learn to diagnose insect, disease, and cultural/environmental turf conditions
- Drive, use, maintain and properly operate landscape equipment
- Duties are performed on baseball, softball, soccer, football, track and field, along with lacrosse and field hockey fields. Both natural turf and artificial turf.
- Prepping the fields for set up, painting lines, dragging fields, mowing, irrigation etc.
- Position includes renovating and rebuilding of a sports field.
Qualifications
What We’re Seekin
- Love of the outdoors
- Ability to complete the Davey landscape career development books
- Ability to complete the Davey first aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire
