Job Description:
Position Purpose: To provide Athletic Training for the community. Participates, as needed, as a Sports Medicine Coordinator for Moffat County School District providing sideline assessments and triage of athletic/sport injuries and coordination with student trainers, coaches and parents (as appropriate) for indicated medical follow-up.
Essential Functions and Basic Duties

Responsible for planning, organizing, marketing, and performing sports medicine, rehabilitation, wellness, and fitness related services, to be performed at MRH's facilities, schools, physician's offices, and other athletic
Must be a positive and supportive team member to MCSD staff members and the
Performs athletic training services at home MCSD sports
Supervises student
Performs all athletic training services at
Coordinates post-concussion rehab for MCSD students/athletes.
Performs outreach services to local recreational sports as
Participates in interdepartmental process improvements and process
Creates and implements off season sports-specific
Attends monthly staff
Interacts with other departments in solving problems and working as a
Acts as an internal consultant and educator to hospital staff in areas of expertise as
Demonstrates a professional and caring
Strives to ensure continual compliance with departmental and hospital policies and procedures and State/Federal
Ability to work in a variety of therapeutic settings including acute care, in-patient, out-patient and home
Employee participates in mandatory in-services.
Can identify and access system to report abuse of employees and/or
Adheres to policies and procedures for infection control, HIPAA, safety and risk
Participates in professional training and
Cleans treatment areas and office
Orders assistive devices for patients as
Communicates with patient(s).
Completes documentation and appropriate billing in a timely manner.
Demonstrates
Advocates for patients through the health process
Assists through input with budgeting, ordering and capital equipment
Assists Orthopedic surgeons in clinic prn
Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Education/Licensure/Certification:
Bachelor of Science preferred, Athletic Trainer program preferred
Unencumbered License/Certification (if applicable)
Current BLS certification
Experience:
Previous experience working in a high school, college, or professional team setting in sports medicine or a clinical/hospital Physical Therapy Aide experience preferred.
Ability to maintain good working relationships both within the department and with other departments, and with students, parents, coaches, and outside agencies.
