Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) is looking for an Atlassian administratorto configure, manage, and enhance Jira and Confluence, including nativefunctionality as well as researching, testing, and implementing plugins. TheAtlassian administrator will be responsible for understanding the currentprocess, gathering requirements, investigating potential solutions, analyzingimpact, communicating with stakeholders, and implementing solutions.This role provides challenging opportunities and ample room for criticalthinking in building extensible solutions that meet the unique needs of ourclients while scaling out to support the daily collaboration of the entireorganization. The position will be based out of Atlanta, Georgia. We are open tofully remote candidates as long as they reside in the US.*Candidate must be a US CITIZEN to be considered for this position.Primary Responsibilitieso Collaborate with customers, other Business Analysts, and cross-functionalteams to collect requirements and develop solutions to support the daily needsof a rapidly growing business.o Research, test, and implement plugins for Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket.o Develop interfaces between external tooling and Jira/Confluenceinfrastructure.o Manage complex Jira workflows, screen schemes, permission schemes, andnotification schemes.o Document requirements, solutions, as well as user and support referenceguides.o Develop specifications and test plans associated with new features ormodifications.o Confer with and provide support to technical group.o Provide communications link between user and technical group.o Provide ongoing user support including troubleshooting and resolution ofissues.o Perform other related duties as assigned.Minimum Requirementso Experience in setting up and supporting Atlassian Tools (Jira, Confluence,etc.).o Basic SQL and JQL query experience.o Experience customizing workflows, setting up dashboards, and generatingreports.o Basic knowledge and understanding of the software development cycle.o Excellent problem solving skills and demonstration of critical thinking.o Strong written and verbal communication skills.Preferred Skillso Ability to automate and extend base Jira/Confluence functionality, includingscripting.o Design and develop customizations and plugins.o Experience developing custom plugins using Java for Jira 9.x and Confluence9.x.o Experience using/extending REST API using Java for Jira and Confluence.o Knowledge of Single Sign On protocols such as SAML, SAML2.o Familiarity with Git and branching models or other source controlrepositories.Length of Contract6 months with potential to extend
