About the Job
Our client is a premiere defense law firm, founded in 1996. They specialize in workers’ compensation, employment law, general liability, state audits, and subrogation. Our client is looking for attorneys who wants to join a well established and respected team.
Title: Employment Attorney
Location: California (Remote)
Compensation: $150-225K
Responsibilities:
Advising clients on legal issues stemming from the employer-employee relationship.
Drafting and reviewing employment contracts, policies, and handbooks.
Representing clients in employment litigation and disputes.
Investigating workplace incidents and complaints.
Advising on compliance with labor and employment regulations.
Qualifications
Must have a well-established and exclusive employment litigation, defense background
Strongly preferred: Current or recent experience working with school third party administrator employment panels
Required: must have school district defense experience in employment law
Must have 4 years of employment law defense experience
Trial experience preferred, but not required
Experience with public entity defense a plus
Must have knowledge of class/PAGA inclusive
Bachelor’s and Juris Doctor degrees
Member, State Bar of California in good standing
Superior research, analytical, and negotiating ability
Excellent written and oral communication
Commitment to proactive case management
