About the Job
Responsibilities Include:
- Offer advice to healthcare, ancillary service providers and your colleagues;
- Primary point of contact and responsible person for a significant group of Healthcare Clients
- Develop and Conduct training programs (both in-house and for Clients)
- Engage in extensive analysis of the False Claims Act, Anti-kickback Statutes, Stark and other healthcare specific laws, rules and settlements
- Assist in establishing and assessing compliance standards and efforts (including developing general criteria for the evaluation of compliance programs)
- Evaluate and/or help ensure appropriate investigation of Compliance Complaints, root cause analysis, remedial efforts and post correction audits
- Be aware of and utilize data to assist in proactive early detection of potential issues
- Perform research and stay current with new compliance and legal developments
- Participate in defense of governmental investigations and claims
- Perform legal investigations and reviews
- Implement and modify, as appropriate, client policies/procedures/practices to meet ethical, legal, health care program and professionally recognized standards of care requirements
- Assist in drafting Compliance Handbook, updates and new material for Clients
- Monitor, manage, and organize for recall, your work through the use and development of
systems using technology as a first solution - Provide practical advice and solutions to Clients and Colleagues on compliance related matters
