Attorney - Labor and Employment Defense - Gpac

A well-established full-service law firm is seeking an emerging associate to join their Labor & Employment practice group. We are searching for a motivated associate with a minimum of three years of litigation experience and an interest practicing in employment defense. Qualified candidates must possess excellent communication skills, collaborate well on a team, and capable of assisting with all aspects of litigation. The successful candidate can expect to take and defend depositions, draft and respond to pleadings and discovery, counsel clients regarding federal and state employment laws, and represent employers in court and alternative dispute resolutions.

Skills & Experience Requirements:

• JD from an accredited Law School
• Must be admitted and a member in good standing of the California Bar
• 3 or more years of litigation experience, preferably in employment disputes, PAGA, or class actions
• Prior experience taking and defending depositions and arguing motions in court
• Outstanding research and analytical skills, and excellent attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• A self-starter with the ability to integrate feedback and take on increased responsibility
• Ability to think strategically and creatively while providing practical counsel to clients
• Trial experience is welcomed, but is not a requirement
