Description: As a Transactions Attorney, you will specialize in legal matters involving business and commercial transactions and be a member of the Commercial Real Estate and Corporate departments. You must be an attorney admitted to practice in the state of Maine. Responsibilities include:Assists commercial clients with real estate transactions, entity formations and structuring, mergers and acquisitions, bank lending, contract drafting and negotiation.Collaborates seamlessly with peers in other practice areas, as needed, in order to provide the full range of legal services our clients require.Follows the ethical requirements as set forth by the Rules of Professional Conduct of the state and complies with all requirements of the firm's professional liability insurer; and maintain positive contact with clients and observe confidentiality in client matters.Monitors account receivables.Participate in the firm's marketing efforts and be responsible for client development as necessary. Reviews and analyzes newly assigned work and existing matters in order to provide legal representation until the matter is concluded.Responsible for assembling and ensuring the accuracy of all correspondence and documents in connection with legal representation.Performs necessary legal research using all available resources.Formulates and issues well-rounded legal opinions to clients.Advises and communicates regularly with clients regarding the status of a matter.If you are a driven and detail-oriented individual with a passion for the law, we encourage you to apply.
