Productivity, Inc’s Machines Used division helps manufacturing customers throughout the U.S. buy, sell, consign, trade, liquidate, and auction CNC machine tools and related shop and manufacturing equipment.
We are seeking a self-motivated individual who knows metalworking equipment, is diligent and organized and who can communicate well with our customers to help them through the auction process.
Responsibilities
- Auction Lotting: Learn our UMM Software system to enter machines and small items into system for auction lotting purposes. Assist in lotting and learn to direct lotting of auctions. Travel to customer manufacturing sites to help enter items into inventory system.
- Auction Checkout: Assist in the removal of items from auction sites. Make sure customers receive all items.
- Lot auction items at machinesused.com and seller facilities – writing descriptions; taking photos and/or videos; arranging lots, entering items into the computer system; uploading auctions – defining auction information on the website. Supervise auction previews on-site and occasionally at a customer’s location. Arrange rigging & shipping; supervise removal of auction items from machinesused.com and seller facilities; assist buyer with freight & shipping issues
- Auction Admin: help new bidders through the registration process. Assist with registration and login issues.
- Auction Close: Learn and use UMM to assist in auction closings. Send invoices to the customers. Call winners, answer calls and provide information for payment and delivery and/or pick up of the items. Receive payments via Bank wire, ACH, Credit Card. Once payment has been received, send releases to the buyers and the sellers. Average 1-2 auctions per month.
- Inventory Admin: Learn our UMM Software to be able to build machines in the system, develop bills of lading, attach pictures to items in system, track and direct things needed for our inventory items (parts, repair work, cleaning, etc).
- Load/unload machines via forklift(s) from trucks into/out of warehouse as needed. Move machines around the warehouse as needed for lotting/organization.
- Shipping, freight & rigging–for all outgoing shipments of machines, tools, manuals, etc. Work with local and nationally based riggers to manage schedules & expectations of warehouse, customer and rigging/shipping carriers.
- Collaborate with the sales team to identify items for auction and prepare contracts for auction clients using a standardized fillable template. Ensure contracts are accurately completed and signed, collecting signed contracts and maintaining organized records. Promptly notify the sales team of any outstanding or unsigned contracts, supporting a seamless and efficient auction process.
- Generate and review UCC (Uniform Commercial Code) reports for qualified customers, collaborating with management to assess Lein release documents to be obtained.
Requirements
- Knowledge of machine tools and industrial equipment is a plus.
- Knowledge of auction business helpful.
- Ability to manage a large variety of tasks, projects and timelines efficiently; strong prioritization skills. Ability to investigate through research and conversation, and resolve problems or questions
- Strong computer skills.
- Must be a self-starter with the “hustle” attitude necessary to succeed in this business.
- Ability to interact professionally and tactfully with internal and external customers.
- Ability to speak Spanish a plus, but not required.
