Reporting to the Director of Clinic Operations, the Audiologist performs audiological assessments for the adult and elderly population at the Parker Jewish Institute for Health Care and Rehabilitation, both in the sub-acute and long term care environments.
Key Tasks:
- Administer standard audioligic test battery
- Prepare diagnostic reports
- Make recommendations regarding appropriate follow-up and management
- Recommend and dispense hearing aids
- Maintain all records regarding hearing aids dispensed according to NY State law
- Arrange for semi-annual exhaustive calibration of audiometric equipment
Required Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Audiology
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology
- NY State license in Audiology
- Eligibility for NY State hearing aid dispenser license
- Two (2) years' experience as an audiologist
