We are in search of an experienced Permanent Audit Associate to join our dynamic team in the construction industry. Responsibilities
As a Permanent Audit Associate, you will be expected to:
1. Perform detailed audit procedures on financial statements, including testing of disclosures, in accordance with GAAS, FASB, and GAAP.
2. Develop and implement audit methodologies and assess risks for various audit projects.
3. Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with established accounting standards and regulations.
4. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current financial and industry trends, state and federal tax legislation, and company strategy.
5. Communicate effectively with clients to ensure alignment and understanding of financial statements and disclosures.
6. Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure efficient completion of project work.
7. Provide guidance and support to junior staff members, fostering an environment of learning and growth.
8. Assist in the preparation of management reports, including final audit findings and recommendations.
Qualifications
To be considered for this position, candidates must possess the following:
1. A CPA and a degree in accounting from an accredited institution.
2. A minimum of 2 years of experience in public accounting, with a focus on auditing.
3. Profound knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, FASB, and other relevant regulations.
4. Previous experience in the construction industry is highly desirable.
5. Proven experience with financial statements, auditing, and disclosures.
6. Strong understanding of audit methodologies and risk assessment.
7. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
8. Superior written and verbal communication skills.
9. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
10. Experience with not-for-profit organizations is a plus.
