We are seeking a highly motivated, up and coming Audit/Assurance Senior to join our dynamic team. This role offers the flexibility of 100% remote work, allowing you to contribute to our company's success from the comfort of your own home.
Responsibilities
As a Permanent Audit Senior, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Leading and executing financial statement audits in accordance with Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS).
2. Ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other regulatory requirements.
3. Supervising and mentoring junior audit staff, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
4. Identifying and communicating accounting and auditing matters to managers and partners.
5. Developing and maintaining productive relationships with client management throughout the year.
6. Reviewing financial statements and related disclosures to ensure compliance with reporting requirements.
7. Evaluating internal controls and work programs prepared by staff.
8. Assisting in the preparation of audit reports and communicating findings to management.
9. Participating in business development initiatives and identifying new business opportunities with existing clients.
Qualifications
To qualify for this role, you should have:
1. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field. A Master’s degree or CPA certification is highly desirable.
2. Minimum of 3 years of progressive audit experience in public accounting.
3. Comprehensive understanding of GAAS, GAAP, and compliance.
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to clearly explain complex financial information to both financial and non-financial audiences.
6. Demonstrated leadership skills, with experience in managing and developing junior staff.
7. High level of integrity and professionalism.
8. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, meet deadlines, and excel in a fast-paced, complex environment.
9. Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
