Project/Business Responsibilities:
- Maintain all company fleet vehicles for routine and preventative maintenance and repairs.
- Maintain records for all company fleet vehicles, including licenses, inspections, and insurance cards.
- Maintain records of all service and repairs to all company fleet vehicles.
- Manage a small inventory of essential parts and supplies for performing routine service and repairs.
- Source and procure all needed items from established vendors seeking the best price and quality. All items are to be bought with purchase orders. Submit all packing lists and documents to accounting for proper payment and tracking.
- Identifies mechanical problems either visually or with computer diagnostic equipment.
- Fill out a shop work order for all vehicles worked on every day. Have sufficient information on each work order to ensure accurate billing and inventory movement.
- Plans and establishes timetable to complete repairs and maintenance. Close work orders promptly.
- Make minor repairs on motorized shop equipment such as lifts, tow motors, etc., as requested.
- Drive a company vehicle, when required, in a safe manner.
Project/Business Management:
- Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot.
- Good mechanical skills.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to schedule appointments with co-workers.
- Ability to read service and repair manuals.
- Proficient with computer diagnostic equipment and software.
- Maintain and clean garage equipment and tools to ensure they are always kept in a safe and usable condition.
- Ability to take direction from Supervisor and or management.
- Safe driving record.
- High school diploma or GED, course work at an accredited vocational, technical or trade school.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience or an equivalent combination of experience and trade school training
- A valid Pennsylvania inspection and emissions license
- Ability to understand and follow all company policies and procedures and all applicable State and Federal laws.
- Ability to use typical business tools, including E-Mail, Word, Excel, etc.
