AutoCAD Drafter (Low Voltage) at TEKsystems

Job Summary: 

We are seeking a skilled AutoCAD Drafter specializing in low voltage electrical systems to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of drafting and design, with a keen eye for detail and a thorough understanding of low voltage electrical components. This role involves collaborating with engineers and project managers to create accurate and efficient designs, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and maintaining organized project documentation.

Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed technical drawings and plans for low voltage electrical systems using AutoCAD software.
• Collaborate with electrical engineers and project managers to ensure accurate and efficient designs.
• Modify and update drawings based on project requirements and feedback.
• Maintain organized project files and documentation.
• Ensure all designs comply with industry standards and company guidelines.
• Assist in preparing project specifications, cost estimates, and material lists.
• Conduct site visits to gather data, verify measurements, and assess project needs.

Desired Skills:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant drafting software.
• Strong understanding of low voltage electrical systems and components.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in drafting.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, electrical schematics, and specifications.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Familiarity with 3D modeling software and electrical design tools is a plus.

Education/Certifications:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Drafting, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Certification in AutoCAD is preferred.

Experience Level:

• Entry Level
