Role Overview: The Automation Controls Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing control systems for industrial equipment, including creating control cabinets and programming PLCs using RS Logix. Key duties include troubleshooting and debugging Rockwell/Siemens PLCs, HMI systems, robots, and variable frequency drives, as well as designing and commissioning servo controllers and electro-hydraulic positioners. The role also involves assisting with the installation and technical support of PLC-based hardware and software, ensuring systems meet design standards. In addition, the engineer will work on enhancing manufacturing processes, improve system performance, and develop engineering documentation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, with 5+ years of experience in controls engineering in a manufacturing setting.
- Familiarity with industrial robots, particularly Fanuc and Kuka, as well as experience with material flow and continuous improvement practices.
- Proficiency in programming Fanuc Teach Pendant & Karel, along with experience using Microsoft Office and AutoCAD 2D for electrical schematics.
