Automation Engineer
Location: Glenwood, IL
Direct Hire | Pay Range: $90,000 - $120,000 (Experience Dependent)
Seeking a skilled Automation Engineer to join our team, playing a key role in leading customer projects and providing innovative solutions for product enhancement.
Responsibilities:
Project Leadership: Lead projects as an expert, ensuring successful execution from concept to completion.
Product and Process Improvement: Enhance product offerings and processes.
Electrical Design: Create electrical schematics, develop new designs, and implement standards.
Programming: Develop PLC, Motion, and HMI programs for various controllers and prototypes.
Vision Systems Integration: Implement vision systems for orientation and feature detection.
Customer Interaction: Collaborate with customers to review plans and formulate installation strategies.
Documentation: Author project documentation, including manuals and lessons.
Travel: Periodic travel for startups, installations, and issue resolution.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
Experience: 5+ years of hands-on electrical engineering design.
Skills: Proficient in electrical design, experience with cyclic rotary motion and Ethernet/IP networks is a plus.
Problem Solving: Identify and solve problems mechanically, electrically, and programmatically.
Communication: Clear and concise communication, both verbally and in writing.
Leadership: Lead troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and project commissioning.
Compliance: Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal codes.
