Overview:
The Automation Engineer will support Engineered-to-Order (ETO) and Modernization teams to deliver customized software and hardware solutions. This role includes commissioning, troubleshooting, and software updates to ensure equipment aligns with customer expectations.
Responsibilities:
- Customize crane control systems using pre-existing software modules.
- Support factory acceptance, commissioning, and ongoing lifecycle management of material handling equipment.
- Modify PLC software to align with customer specifications.
- Monitor and replace obsolete automation equipment.
- Collaborate with engineers and technicians to resolve control and software issues.
- Travel to customer sites for on-site troubleshooting as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Software, Electrical, or Automation Engineering.
- Some experience in the manufacturing industry, particularly with Siemens PLC and HMI programming.
- Familiarity with variable frequency drives, control systems, NEC electrical codes, and OSHA safety requirements.
- Ability to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally.

- Previous experience in manufacturing and automation engineering.
- Proficiency in Siemens PLC & HMI programming.
- Knowledge of NEC electrical codes & OSHA safety standards.
- Stable work history.
