About the Job
We’re looking for an
Automation Engineer
to join our team and work with our Engineered-to-Order (ETO) and Modernization teams. In this role, you’ll be customizing software and hardware solutions for our customers, making sure their equipment is not only functional but optimized for their needs. You’ll get hands-on with everything from PLC software updates to troubleshooting and on-site commissioning.
Key Responsibilities:
Customize crane control systems using pre-built software modules
Provide support through factory acceptance, commissioning, and throughout the lifecycle of material handling equipment
Modify PLC software and troubleshoot control/software issues alongside engineers and technicians
Monitor and replace obsolete automation equipment, keeping systems up-to-date and efficient
Occasionally travel to customer sites (up to 25%) to troubleshoot and support projects on the ground
What You Bring to the Team:
Bachelor’s degree in Software, Electrical, or Automation Engineering
Solid background with Siemens PLC and HMI programming
Familiarity with variable frequency drives and control systems for material handling
Knowledge of NEC electrical code and OSHA safety requirements
Experience in the manufacturing industry and previous experience as an Automation Engineer
