Automation Engineer - Hynes Industries, Inc.

We are seeking a skilled Controls Engineer to design, develop, and maintain automation systems for manufacturing processes and equipment....Qualification Requirements: 

Education and/or Experience:  Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Control Systems Engineering, Automation, or related field. Exposure to electrical field work and managing electrical contractors.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with robotics, motion control, or advanced automation systems.

Familiarity with industrial IoT and digital transformation technologies.

Certifications in control systems, safety standards, or project management (e.g., PE, PMP).

Experience:

3+ years of experience in control system design and programming, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Experience with PLC programming, HMI development, and industrial communication protocols.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency with PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.) and HMI/SCADA software.

Strong understanding of control theory, PID control, and feedback systems.

Experience with electrical schematics, control panel design, and wiring standards.

Knowledge of safety standards and industrial automation regulations (e.g., NFPA, IEC, OSHA).

AMS Experience

Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods, sit for long periods. Use small tools and lift 50 pounds.

Work Environment: Manufacturing and mill environment, office (Travel occasionally, typically around 10%)
