POSITION SUMMARY
Jireh semiconductor is looking for an Automation Equipment Technician to support their 8-inch wafer fab in Hillsboro, OR. This person will be responsible for supporting all automation related factory systems to meet manufacturing needs.
*This position is G shift: Wednesday - Friday every other Saturday from 12 pm - 12:30 am with a 6% shift differential
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
- Troubleshoot automation hardware including SMIF units, Stockers, AeroTrak, Cars, wafer sorters, terminals, etc.
- Perform PMs for all automation hardware
- Support all floor Automation software systems
- Maintain spare parts and backup hardware inventory
- Prepare detailed pass-downs, tracking troubleshooting and maintenance work
- Training AT team to provide backup support
- Occasional off shift support
- Other support functions as required
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
Regularly required to sit or stand and move about the facility. Exposure to shop elements such as noise, dust, fumes and odors. Able to perform maintenance work in stockers, on fab floor and occasionally under sub-floor
Self-discipline and ability to independently manage time is critical to success in this position
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION
- 2+ years Semiconductor fab experience, preferred prior automation experience or similar
- Associate's degree in a related discipline is preferred but not required
QUALIFICATIONS/OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Excellent troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently
- Good communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to work independently, organize conflicting priorities, interface with manufacturing techs and supervisors
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of changing situations
