Job Title: Automation QA Test Engineer
Location: El Segundo, CA
Position Type: 12-18 Month Contract
Rate: DOE – (W2/c2c/1099)
Interview Process: Phone then Skype
Must be able to interview F2F in Los Angeles
Required Qualifications:
· 5+ years of experience in software development and/or software test/quality assurance engineering.
· Writing test plans is essential
· Working knowledge of UNIX and/or Linux.
· Software testing skills is necessary
· Manual testing experience is preferred. Automated testing experience is required.
· Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Must have "solid basic SQL skills " primarily to query data.
· Must have experience with Web Services testing and SOAP UI (or equivalent)
· Experience with Java, SQL, JSP, DHTML and XML is preferred.
· Experience developing and executing automated test scripts using automation test or tools like Quick Test Professional (QTP), Selenium or ITKO
Responsibilities:
· Reviewing project specifications and working with other organizations to understand the system requirements, including the system software architecture, design, internal and external interfaces, use cases, etc.
· Generating test plans to validate the requirements and functionality per the project specifications.
· Developing test scenarios and generating detailed test procedures to properly and rigorously test the system requirements and functionality.
· Executing tests and validating test results as detailed in the test procedures.
· Identifying, analyzing, and documenting any defects discovered during testing.
· Working with the development teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
· Generating test reports to document all test results.
· Duties may also include defining and developing software test tools, automated test scripts (e.g. Selenium, ITKO Lisa, etc.) and simulators as necessary.
· Work with test leads for test planning and execution
· Work with offshore test team
· Fast Learner with limited supervision
· Experience with performance testing tools (e.g. JMeter)
