Tuesday - Saturday 7:30AM - 4:30PM
Role Summary
The Field Service Technician will be responsible for overdelivering on the internal and external customer experience at our service locations. The ideal candidate will possess the technical acumen and the ability to provide a strong level of customer service. You will be working with our internal partners every day to assist with service needs and coordinate with our Service, Vehicle and Delivery Operations, and Field Service Engineer teams. Experience in automotive, process standardization, continuous improvement, and managing escalations is a plus.
Responsibilities
Ability to assist in daily EDV business operations often requested on ad hoc basis, including shuttling vehicles back and forth from delivery stations
Conduct pre-delivery inspections on new vehicles, using a documented process, checklist, and guidelines
Document results (pass/fail)of pre-delivery inspections and communicate results to team members/supervisor
Follow repair procedures with efficiency without compromising quality and safety
Perform or assist with assigned diagnosis, repairs, installations, and inspections on vehicles
Assist and support vehicle repairs in a setting outside of a service center
Conduct road tests on vehicles to ensure quality of the repair
Perform necessary parts operations such as parts ordering, receiving, shipping and inventory
Establish peer relationships and work under the mentorship of a senior technician
Provide service support to the field to support the Service organization
Qualifications
Level 1 Technician: Less than 2 years of experience in a directly related trade no automotive specific training required
Level 2 Technician: 2-4 years of experience in an automotive specific environment with exposure to various repairs; automotive training preferred
Level 3 Technician: 5+ years of automotive experience, EV experience preferred
HS Diploma or GED preferred
Graduated from an accredited automotive repair school preferred
One year experience working in an automotive repair shop preferred
Proficient in using hand tools and power tools
Ability to drive non-commercial truck and trailer preferred
Experience using a work order management system including repair documentation
Experience working in start-up environments preferred
Physical exertion may be required to perform occupational tasks (sitting, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, carrying, reaching, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 lbs.)
