Automotive Parts Coordinator - Driver - Optimal Staffing

PROJECT COORDINATOR

We proudly design, engineer, and manufacture our vehicles in the United States, with our engineering and research center located in Plymouth, Michigan, and our manufacturing facility in Elkhart, Indiana.

Responsibilities Include but not limited to:

Write shippers for various purposes:

• Vehicle EOT returned parts to suppliers
• From Dow stock to different places
• Send parts/mating parts to suppliers for testing

Pull parts from stock rooms:

• Machine shop
• Fastener lab
• Vehicle shops
• Shop
• Other component for various purposes

Pickup parts from local suppliers and delivered to different places for various purposes:

• Facility 1
• Facility 2
• Plant
• Labs

Move parts within Company or outside company:

• Testing
• Inspections
• Builds
• Hand carrying or move ticket.

Pick up and deliver M-plate vehicles:

• Vehicle level test for changes
• Root Cause analysis
• Coordinating with suppliers

Communication between suppliers and engineers for status of deliveries (ETA, delivery confirmation, documenting the deliveries)

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or vocational degree in lieu of a bachelor's degree
• 3 years experience required
• Good interpersonal skills
• Good driving skills / Valid Driver's license
• 100% onsite in Auburn Hills, MI with frequent travel (driving) to suppliers, plants, etc.
• Driving a company vehicle is required
• 60-80% mainly within Southeast MI but some trips might be to Indiana to supplier locations in States around Michigan

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

• Prototype experience preferred.
• Candidates with some level of practical experience are preferred
