About the Role

In this role, youll partner with another Launch Engineer to manage multiple new automotive product introductions from planning through successful launch, ensuring everything meets quality standards and production timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Management: Drive new projects from concept through completion, managing timelines, and addressing any roadblocks
- Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP): Lead internal meetings to keep project milestones on track and resolve issues promptly
- Process Planning: Develop process failure plans (PFMEA) and control measures to uphold product quality
- Launch Coordination: Oversee production run tests, process setup (eg, masking, trimming, assembly), and pre-production tasks
- Plant Layout & Instructions: Create plant layouts and provide detailed work instructions for production and packaging
- Supplier Coordination: Ensure smooth setup and approval of packaging and equipment with external suppliers
- Product Tryouts: Plan and evaluate new product trials to guarantee production readiness
- Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety, quality, and environmental standards to maintain a safe workplace
Qualifications
- Experience: 3-5 years in automotive manufacturing, leading multiple product launches; injection molding and automated equipment experience is a plus
- Education: High school diploma required; a technical diploma is preferred
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, Solidworks) and Microsoft Office (especially Excel); knowledge of PLCs, automated systems, vision systems, and robotics is advantageous
- Additional Skills: Strong budgeting, planning, and APQP/PFMEA experience
