We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable individual to join our team as an Automotive Service Advisor. In this role, you will be the liaison between our customers and our automotive service technicians, ensuring that each customer receives exceptional service and their vehicle maintenance and repair needs are addressed promptly and efficiently.
Minimum Experience and Qualifications
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Must have a clean driving record.
Essential Duties
- Schedules service appointments.
- Greets customers in a timely, friendly manner, completes full-circle-walk-around vehicle inspection and obtains vehicle information.
- Writes up customer’s vehicle problems accurately and clearly on repair order.
- Advises customers on the care of their cars and the value of maintaining their vehicles in accordance with manufacturers’ specifications and technicians’ findings.
- Inspects all vehicles for body work, informs customer if work is needed, and provides an estimate for body work.
- Checks manufacturer site for open recalls, special messages for warrant, or restrictions to the VIN number.
- Provides a complete and accurate written cost estimate for labor and parts.
- Establishes “promised time” – and checks with dispatcher, if necessary.
- Obtains customer’s signature on repair orders and provides customers with a copy.
- Establishes customer’s method of payment and obtains credit approval, if necessary.
- Checks on progress of repair throughout the day, contacts customers regarding any changes in the estimate or promised time, explains cost and time requirements in detail, and gets proper authorization before any additional repairs are performed.
- Reviews repair orders to ensure that work is completed and additional work and authorization is noted. Closes repair orders as appropriate.
- You will be responsible for other duties as assigned.
