Automotive Service Manager
Wendle Nissan in Spokane, WA, is seeking an experienced Automotive Service Manager to lead our service department. This role is pivotal in driving efficiency and profitability through strategic staffing, cost control, and customer retention. The Service Manager will oversee department operations, aiming for optimal productivity and client loyalty while fostering a positive work environment. Key responsibilities include hiring and training team members, enhancing customer and staff efficiency, meeting sales and profit goals, and maintaining detailed service records. Pay:
- $90,000 - $130,000, depending on experience
Responsibilities:
- Ensure high-quality, timely service and repairs for customers.
- Recruit, train, and develop service staff to maintain a skilled and responsive team.
- Develop team members by setting clear performance expectations, providing ongoing feedback, and coaching for growth.
- Resolve customer inquiries and concerns professionally and promptly, fostering positive relationships.
- Review repair orders daily to ensure accuracy, clarity, and compliance with legal standards.
- Uphold all manufacturer policies and procedures within the service department.
- Control departmental expenses and monitor operational efficiency.
- Implement targeted marketing strategies to boost service sales.
- Manage warranty, receivables, and service contract administration with accuracy and timeliness.
- Maintain clean, organized, and OSHA-compliant service areas for a professional and safe environment.
- Serve as a liaison between the store and Fixed Operations Support, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
- Complete all reporting and month-end procedures accurately and on schedule.
Qualifications:
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Positive, reliable team-player attitude with a strong work ethic.
- Proven leadership experience, ideally with 2+ years in automotive retail service management.
- Detail-oriented with a strong sense of urgency.
- Critical thinking skills to evaluate alternative solutions effectively.
- Time management skills for prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated success meeting and exceeding industry standards in service and operations.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
