About the Job
Entech Staffing Solutions is seeking an Experienced Automotive Service Technician for a trucking company in Flint, MI. This is a full-time, contract position with the opportunity to go direct based on job performance, attendance, attitude, etc. Must have a high school diploma or GED. Candidates must pass a drug test and criminal background check prior to starting. Hours: 7:00a-3:30p, Mon-Fri. Pay: $26.00-$28.00/hr based on experience.
This person will be required to install service bodies, platforms, dumps and van packages, hoists, cranes, PTO’s, electrical and custom hydraulic components and circuits, and alternate fuel conversions. Fabricate as needed.
Position Expectation Statements:
This person will need to read work instructions and installations directions, gather materials, properly build the equipment, and test its performance before delivering the unit to a final product audit.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Able to complete all of Labor Grade I and II duties.
Install and trouble shoot custom hydraulics.
Install and trouble shoot custom wiring.
Install and trouble shoot Alternate fuel conversions.
Ability to read schematics, diagrams and blueprints.
Strong mechanical background with working knowledge of hydraulics, 12-volt electrical systems and assembly.
Welding experience – MIG, TIG
Metal Fabrication experience.
Work safely in a production environment wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when required

Preferred Experience and Training:
Automotive electrical systems and hydraulic systems
Previous work in an assembly environment
Previous experience in the truck equipment industry or similar industry
Previous experience working against timed job standards and a proven record of being able to meet completion standards
Formal mechanical training or certifications (ASE or other).
Attention to detail in every aspect of the job
Able to maintain a neat, clean, and organized work area.

Hand tools – pneumatic and battery operated
Welder
Cutting torch
Overhead Cranes
Grinders
Plasma Cutter
Physical Demands:
Normal standing, walking, bending and twisting as necessary to perform job duties.
Use of hand tools
Exposed to normal seasonal temperatures.
Lifting/moving up to 75 pounds
