Job Description

We are seeking Experienced Service Professionals, including Master A, B, and C Levels and Express / Lube Technicians, for our service department.

In addition to a union shop, great pay, and benefits package, we offer ongoing professional training and room for advancement within our organization.  

Our ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED and at least one to two years of automotive technician experience. An unrestricted NYS driver's license, a clean driving record, and strong physical dexterity and stamina are required. Candidates must be able to work productively in a fast-paced team environment, have a positive attitude, a professional appearance, great communication skills, and the ability to deliver world-class customer service.

Responsibilities

• Checks all fluids and maintenance-related parts and tops off or replaces fluids or filters/parts as required
• Diagnoses issues based on experience, analysis, and testing
• Follows all shop policies, procedures, safety, and environmental rules.
• Makes repair recommendations and manages the delivery of repairs by setting and managing customer expectations
• Performs routine service inspections or tests and completes standard maintenance jobs
• Repairs automobiles and light trucks as assigned
• Attends all staff meetings, training, and educational classes as required
• Complies with and enforces all safety policies and procedures
• Maintains cleanliness of vehicles while performing service or repairs
• Ensures that the required documentation is complete and is in compliance with regulations and standards
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• One year of relevant experience preferred
• ASE certifications
• A, B, or C-level qualifications plus Express
• A broad scope of automotive mechanical/electrical knowledge
• Must have a valid and clean NY state driver's license
• Able to drive both automatic and standard-transmission vehicles
• Able to safely operate motor vehicles in tight and small spaces
• Neat, clean, and professional appearance
• Highly professional and dependable
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Must be reliable and able to follow directions
• Helpful attitude and friendly demeanor
• Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift up to 50 pounds as needed
• Must be able to pass a drug test and a background check
• Must be able to pass a license/motor vehicle record check
• Certification as a state inspector is a plus
