Responsibilities
- Evaluate customer requirements for compliance and extract operational and functional concepts for systems.
- Allocate, decompose, and derive requirements to subsystems and components, ensuring seamless vehicle integration.
- Ensure proper flow-down of design constraints.
- Execute SysML modeling tasks, encompassing behavior, structure, and parametric modeling.
- Coordinate cross-disciplinary reviews with other engineering teams.
- Develop and uphold product and subsystem-level specifications.
- Assist Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) in crafting critical item specifications.
- Uphold company safety and environmental policies and regulations.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by the Systems Engineering manager or designated representative.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, Aerospace) required.
- Demonstrated experience in the defense sector
- Experience presenting technical solutions to internal stakeholders.
- Familiarity with configuration control and baseline management.
- Proficiency in Requirements development.
- Experience utilizing SysML for system modeling.
- Compliance with company standards for background checks, employment verification, reference checks, and controlled substance testing.
- High degree of self-motivation and standards, capable of juggling multiple tasks while maintaining a balance between analysis and action.
- Adaptability and adeptness at prioritizing tasks under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Initiative-driven approach to work.
- Pragmatic, hands-on mindset with the capability to function independently in a dynamic setting.
- Proficiency in delving into technical intricacies to comprehend and elucidate complex systems.
- Capacity to effectively perform all essential functions, with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds, stand for extended periods, and travel up to 25%, including occasional trips to Europe.
