About the Job
Overview:
The Assembly Technician will conduct preassemby preparation, operate production machines, ensure the manufacturing lines have enough product to continue running, complete job quality / production reporting and ensure quality control requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct pre-assembly/project preparation
- Review parts modifications
- Compare scanned images to drawings to verify parts issues
- Operate a variety of equipment and tools to assemble mechanical and/or vehicle components in assigned areas
- Fill vehicle systems with required fluids/coolants/oil and conducting test drives to confirm vehicle operation/safety
- Perform special modifications to existing vehicles per assigned work requests
- Inspecting/testing parts to confirm quality/operation and interfacing with design engineers to verify technical data and review final assembly
- Competent use of equipment/machinery/software required to perform job
- Thorough understanding of manufacturing processes related to vehicle assembly
- Ability to read and interpret drawings
- Ability to learn, understand and apply new technologies
- Possess decision-making, problem solving and detail-oriented skills
- Excellent analytical, prioritization, decision-making and judgment skills
- Excellent presentation, communication, interpersonal and team building skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Power Point) and Catia
- Possess a High School Diploma or equivalent
