Your Role Within Our Team:
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform Diagnostic Tests: Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify mechanical issues and determine necessary repairs.
- Vehicle Repairs and Maintenance: Perform a wide range of repairs, including engine, transmission, brake systems, and electrical components. Also, perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks.
- Inspect Vehicles: Conduct thorough inspections to ensure that vehicles meet safety and operational standards. Identify potential issues and provide customers with detailed reports.
- Customer Communication: Explain repair needs and vehicle issues to customers. Provide exceptional customer service and answer any questions they may have.
- Use of Technology: Utilize iPads and other digital tools for inspections and work orders—access online repair databases like Alldata, Mitchell, IATN, and Identifix.
- Maintain a Clean and Safe Work Environment: Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Keep work areas clean and organized.
- Collaborate with Team Members: Work effectively with fellow technicians and management to ensure smooth operations and high-quality service.
- Continuing Education: Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to stay current with industry advancements and technologies.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as an automotive technician.
- Certifications: ASE certification is preferred but not required.
- Skills: Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills. Proficient with automotive repair tools and equipment.
- Technology: Comfortable using digital tools and technology for work orders and diagnostics.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical issues to customers.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively and contribute to a positive work environment.
- Work Ethic: Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
