Job Title: Automotive Upfitter @ $20-25/hr
Job Description
Mechanical assemblers will be upfitting and making custom build trucks, as well as repairing hydraulics, electrical wiring, custom-built rear ends, and custom-built beds for trucks. These trucks will be used on train tracks and require a high degree of mechanical skill, as most of the custom builds and assembly are done by interpreting blueprints and schematics.
Responsibilities
+ Upfitting and assembling custom-built trucks.
+ Repairing hydraulics and electrical wiring.
+ Interpreting blueprints and schematics for custom builds.
+ Installing and repairing custom-built rear ends and beds for trucks.
+ Ensuring all assemblies meet safety and operational standards.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in mechanical assembly.
+ Experience with engine repair and diesel engine repair.
+ Strong mechanical aptitude.
+ Ability to interpret and work from blueprints and schematics.
+ Experience with electrical and hydraulic systems.
+ Must own a majority of required tools (e.g., sockets, Torx sockets, universal joints, toolbox or roller cart, test/work light, air impact wrenches, screwdrivers).
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in manufacturing, electrical assembly, and wiring.
+ Experience with hand and power tools.
+ General labor experience in mechanics and diesel mechanics.
+ Ability to strip wires and install pumps.

Work Environment
