AV Installer / Technician - Latitude Inc

Day to Day Responsibilities

• Installation & Setup: Install, configure, and test audiovisual equipment, including video conferencing systems, projectors, screens, microphones, and lighting fixtures.
• Troubleshooting: Effectively diagnose and resolve issues related to telephone systems, web conferencing, video displays, and lighting to ensure optimal performance.
• Equipment Handling: Load and unload AV equipment from trucks, ensuring safe and efficient transport and handling.
• Design Understanding: Interpret and implement layout and design plans for AV setups, ensuring that installations align with the client's specifications and operational needs.
• Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and updates on installed systems to ensure longevity and performance.
• Customer Interaction: Communicate professionally with clients to understand their needs, provide updates, and ensure high levels of satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in AV installation, with a proven track record of effective troubleshooting across multiple fields (telephone, web conferencing, video, and lighting).
• Associate's degree in a related field preferred. Alternatively, 5+ years of relevant experience can be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Proficient in the installation and configuration of AV equipment, including troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to safely and efficiently load, unload, and transport AV equipment.
• Strong ability to understand and implement AV layout and design plans.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate technical information to clients and team members effectively.
