Your Role as an AV Service Technician:
As an AV Service Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring that audio-visual systems are serviced efficiently, safely, and to the highest industry standards. You will be responsible for managing work orders, updating the work management platform, and ensuring timely completion of tasks. Additionally, you will help clients maximize the use of their systems through training and support. Your work will include the installation, servicing, and maintenance of A/V systems, with opportunities to contribute to small system layouts and designs. Key responsibilities include:
- System Service & Installation: Service, maintain, and install A/V systems with little to no supervision.
- Cable Management: Pull, identify, and label cables and wires for audio/video signals, and install necessary support structures.
- System Testing & Documentation: Oversee system documentation, testing, and final commissioning.
- Client Training: Train clients on the use of their A/V systems.
- Coordination: Communicate daily on work orders and update the work order management platform.
- Experience: 2-5+ years of experience in installing and servicing A/V systems in a commercial environment.
- Technical Skills: Experience with audio installation, system layout, testing, and commissioning. Familiarity with Bi-Amp or Crestron systems is a plus.
- Certifications: AVIXA CTS certification preferred but not required. OSHA 10 certification is a plus.
- Safety: Strong focus on maintaining a safe work environment.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
- Ability to pass an extensive criminal background check.
- Flexibility to work varied schedules.
