We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced AV Technician to join our dynamic engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and operation of all AV equipment, with a strong focus on shading, AV control, cabling, and lighting. Responsibilities:
- Install, operate, maintain, and repair AV equipment including but not limited to projectors, amplifiers, speakers, microphones, and lighting systems.
- Perform routine checks and preventative maintenance to ensure equipment is in optimal working condition.
- Design and implement AV systems for various projects, ensuring high-quality sound and visual performance.
- Work closely with the engineering team to develop and implement solutions for complex AV problems.
- Manage the cabling of all AV equipment, ensuring a clean and organized setup.
- Operate and maintain AV control systems, ensuring seamless operation during presentations and events.
- Oversee the installation and operation of shading and lighting systems, ensuring optimal visual performance and audience comfort.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for all AV-related issues.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest AV technologies and industry trends.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an AV Technician or a similar role in the Engineering industry.
- Proficient in AV control systems, shading, cabling, and lighting.
- Strong technical skills and knowledge of AV equipment and systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex AV issues.
- Ability to design and implement AV systems for a variety of projects.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical individuals.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to lift and carry heavy equipment.
- Knowledge of the latest AV technologies and industry trends.
- A degree in Engineering, IT, or a related field would be advantageous.
