About the Job
As an A/V - VTC Technician, the individual will work with the Communications Team that provides voice, video, and VTC services to the National Defense University (NDU). The Lead Technician will be responsible for providing technical direction, resolving technical issues associated with the day-to-day operations of the Audio/Visual and Video Teleconferencing equipment, and implementing solutions. Additionally, the individual will plan, develop, test, install and maintain the A/V-VTC equipment for an enterprise-wide military network.

Responsibilities
- Implements and configures technologies, such as Cisco Telepresence, Vbrick, Crestron, Polycom, Cisco EX, DX, and C Series endpoints
- Provides training to team members and government staff to ensure knowledge continuity across technologies.
- Researches, plans, implements, and tests new technologies and frameworks
- Serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for a 35-room Crestron A/V Classroom solutions; coordinates with external vendors, as appropriate
- Reviews, assesses, and approves external vendor technical work
- Troubleshoots unified collaboration calling in Cisco ISE for Skype and Microsoft Teams-enabled classrooms
- Utilizes knowledge of A/V-VTC suites on military networks to provide guidance in future communications planning
- Advises management of remote teaching capabilities while suggesting new and innovative solutions
- Revises operational documentation diagrams
- Facilitates and maintains VTC schedules
- Coordinates with external sites for connection tests upon request
- Maintains the main University VTC bridge; advises on Skype and Microsoft Teams integration
- Performs other tasks as required by OSC and the Government contracting office
Required Qualifications/Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum five (5) years' of Audio Visual - VTC experience
- Previous experience using Cisco and/or Polycom
- Active Security + Certification
- Prior Crestron experience
- Must have and maintain a Public Trust or Security Clearance
Preferred Qualifications/Education and Experience
- Associates degree
- Crestron certification
- PolyCom or Cisco certification
