Aviation Seat Builder

Salary: $27+/hour

Location: Windsor Locks, CT 06096

Industry: Aviation

Shifts: Monday to Thursday, 6am to 4:30pm (3-day weekends!)

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1+ years of relevant work experience
• Prior experience building aircraft seats (and/or luxury automobile and/or boat seats)
• Prior interiors experience on aircraft upholstery (ex. previous soft goods experience, upholstery experience remove & installs in aircraft)
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
• Demonstrated ability to interpret and work with mechanical engineering drawings preferred.
• Basic computer skills
• Demonstrated ability to communicate in both written and verbal form on individual and/or aircraft status.

Job Duties:

• Adhere to Company General Work Requirements (Factory, Shop and / or Hanger positions)
• Comply with environmental health / safety policies / procedures. Participate in 5-S activities. Perform work in a safe and timely manner.
• Fabricate / install / refurbish / modify / aircraft interior equipment and furnishings
• Perform and document work performed per appropriate manuals and regulations as required
• Perform mechanical / electrical removals and installations
• May assist with maintenance at off-site locations
• Clean aircraft as required
• Assist with other maintenance disciplines
• Perform assigned duties as assigned
