This Opportunity
WSP is seeking a talented Aviation Program Manager to join our Omaha, NE office. Be involved in projects with our Aviation Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges. This position will provide support services as part of the Omaha Airport Authority Program Management Team.
Our Aviation Team provides design, engineering and planning services for airports infrastructure including runways, taxiways, terminals and supports WSP's projects around the world. The Aviation Team works on multiple projects simultaneously, in close coordination with other technical departments.
Your Impact
- This opportunity provides subject matter technical support and leadership for multi-site/phase due diligence, investigation, remediation, impact assessment, permitting, improvement, and construction of aviation facilities, infrastructure, and projects.
- Responsibilities include participating in and leading multi-disciplinary teams on aviation designs, plan production, managing project tasks, and budgets, preparation and development of project scope of work and cost proposals, and other duties as required.
- Provides situational guidance to PMs and managers that address current and future challenges, and that documentation and recommendations accurately account for and address risk, innovation, and future-ready opportunities.
- Provides leadership with ensuring that responsibilities are delivered and adhered to with a level of quality that meets or exceeds acceptable industry standards for design, safety, and functionality.
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
- Develop technical & price proposals, task budgets and invoice review by utilizing/collaborating with our Internal Systems.
- Manage scope, schedule and budget for personnel assigned to projects.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or similar field.
- 7+ years of professional experience and leadership.
- Project Reviews to ensure project profitability and client satisfaction.
- Collaborate and coordinate with other Business Line team members within the business line.
- Recruit, develop and retain suitable field staff to be used on project assignments.
- Supervise, assess, mentor, and train a team of Project Managers, Construction Managers & Inspectors, and additional team members.
- Coordinate the assignment of personnel with contracts and project timelines.
- Assist with change order preparation and reviews.
- Assist with risk management/registers.
- Assist with safety management internally and externally.
- Attend industry meetings.
Preferred Qualifications
- Significant experience working within the aviation space and/or the Omaha Airport Authority.
- Well-developed experience in strategic leadership.
- Strong ability in operational issues and solving technical problems with complexity.
- Demonstrates excellence in providing high quality technical performance and oversight through innovative thinking and application of tools.
- Ability to lead and manage others in producing high quality technical and professional deliverables on projects, initiative, and programs.
- Knowledge of business finances and the impact of decisions to the bottom line.
- Provides input into budget for department or region.
- Significant client-facing experience.
