CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking an Aviation Project Engineer to join our Infrastructure – Aviation Design Team located in Indianapolis, IN.
YOUR IMPACT:CHA is a recognized leader in aviation design – airside, landside, or facilities - with project experience at hundreds of commercial, military and general aviation airports across the nation. From terminals and hangars to runways and drainage, we have the capacity to assist with virtually any engineering, architectural, or construction support service.
Working alongside CHA’s professional engineers, the Aviation Project Engineer supports the design development, implementation, and technical analysis of various systems to implement new products, or changes to an existing scheme, to suit individual client needs. The Aviation Project Engineer aids in preparing technical reports, contract documents and cost estimates for various engineering tasks. At CHA, our Aviation Project Engineer works on multiple projects in a timely and cost-effective manner to meet client, contractual and company requirements.
The Aviation Project Engineer identifies technical discrepancies in analytical results and makes appropriate corrections. Our Aviation Project Engineer develops and maintains a familiarity with the federal, state, and local regulations, as well as the firm’s and client’s practices, procedures, and standards.

REQUIREMENTS:- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is required
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required
- Minimum of 2 years of related Engineering experience required
- Specific experience in aviation, pavement design, grading, and site design preferred
- Strong knowledge of engineering, computational, and modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.)
- Has a strong theoretical knowledge in the respective engineering field
- Demonstrates a strong willingness to learn about the respective engineering discipline
- Familiar with QA/QC procedures
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style to suit various audiences
- Desire to work in a collaborative team environment with the willingness to assist more senior staff
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software required
$70,000 - $82,000
Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
