We are seeking an experienced and visionary professional to join our leadership team as the Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Product Management for our Life Solutions within North America. As the AVP, you will play a pivotal role in driving the product strategy for our life insurance products, managing while growing a talented team, and ensuring the successful development and delivery of our software solutions. Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Team Management:
- Provide strategic leadership to the product management team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Mentor and develop team members, promoting professional growth and ensuring a high level of performance.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and excellence in product development.
- Develop and communicate a compelling product vision aligned with the company's overall strategic objectives across all “Life Insurance Solutions”.
- Drive the development and execution of product strategies to achieve business goals and maintain a competitive edge in the market.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, marketing, and sales, to ensure alignment with overall company objectives.
- Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to launch and ongoing enhancement, ensuring products meet customer needs and market demands.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential areas for innovation.
- Make data-driven decisions to prioritize features, enhancements, and product roadmap initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders, including clients, sales teams, and executive leadership, to understand market demands and gather feedback.
- Communicate effectively across the organization, presenting product strategies, roadmaps, and updates to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Foster a culture of transparency and open communication within the product management team.
- Work closely with QA teams to ensure product quality and reliability.
- Working with the Customer Success team to monitor customer feedback and satisfaction, utilizing insights to drive product improvements and enhancements.
- Support the product marketing team driving initiatives, ensuring exciting and relevant content is kept fresh, and continually promoted throughout the industry
- Work with the marketing team driving thought leadership and being seen as the industry expert on all things “Life” related that we do. Be the face of Life Insurance solutions for the organization
- Oversee the GTM with the individual product leaders ensuring that we promote and communicate properly – both internally and externally
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, or economics, Master's Degree preferred
- Certified Product Manager strongly desired – we follow the Pragmatic methodology and framework
- Min of 12 years of proven experience in a progressive leadership role within a SaaS organization within product management, preferably in the life insurance industry.
- Strong strategic thinking and vision-setting capabilities.
- Decisive – able to make quick decisions based on the information at hand
- Ability to set focused priorities that deliver on our corporate vision and strategies
- Demonstrated success in leading and managing high-performing product management teams.
- Have strong process skills – designing processes and holding those around you accountable
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You’ll be presenting to internal stakeholders, speaking at various industry events, and meeting with the C-suite at various customers and prospects
- Deep understanding of software development processes and technologies.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Have a strong sense of intellectual curiosity – looking beyond the movement of the issue at hand to see both opportunities and challenges of the future
- Strong energetic attitude – someone who cannot only champion what we do but do it with enthusiasm and excitement
- Although travel will be limited you may be expected to travel domestically periodically, but not more than 25% of the time.
