As an AWS Software Engineer III, Java at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Sector, specifically within Consumer and Community Banking Risk, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.
Job responsibilities
+ Develops, tests, and debugs automated tasks (Apps, Systems, Infrastructure)
+ Troubleshoots priority incidents, facilitates blameless post-mortems.
+ Works with development teams throughout the software life cycle ensuring sustainable software releases.
+ Performs analytics on previous incidents and usage patterns to better predict issues and take proactive actions.
+ Builds automations to reduce manual interventions for production operations.
+ Builds real-time monitoring and observability tools and processes.
+ Builds and drives adoption for greater self-healing and resiliency patterns.
+ Leads and participates in performance tests; identif9es bottlenecks, opportunities for optimization, and capacity demands.
+ Participates in the 24x7 support coverage as needed.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
+ Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
+ Hands-on development experience in Java, Python or Scala.
+ Knowledge of data preprocessing, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, and data pipeline creation.
+ Experience with cloud services (e.g., AWS EMR, EC2, S3) for deploying and managing ML models.
+ Experience in logging and monitoring tools such as Kibana, Splunk, Elastic Search, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Kibana, Grafana, CloudWatch, Datadog etc.
+ Experience in Continuous Integration & Continuous Deployment processes using tools such as Jenkins and Spinnaker.
+ Experience with scripting languages like Bash or PowerShell.
+ Experience with deploying, scaling, and managing ML models in production environments, with ability to diagnose and resolve issues in pipelines and production systems
+ Ability to optimize ML models and infrastructure for performance and cost-efficiency.
+ Experience with A/B testing and model performance evaluation.
+ Proficiency with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaboration platforms (e.g., GitHub, GitLab).
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
+ Strong development and application support experience in Java.
+ Experience with data storage solutions (e.g., SQL, NoSQL databases (Cassandra preferred), data lakes, S3).
+ Relevant certifications in cloud platforms (e.g. AWS DevOps, Certified Kubernetes Administrator)
