The role of the Azure Cloud Engineer is to manage the organization's enterprise cloud environments used for client hosting and corporate business services. The Azure Cloud Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing highly available, scalable, and secure, multi-region solutions within Microsoft Azure. This role will ensure adherence to SLAs and compliance with industry standard security frameworks.

The Azure cloud expert owns the management of all azure cloud resources. This position reports to the CTO and interfaces with Solution Architects, Development Team Leads, and DevOps.


Essential Job Duties:

• Infrastructure Design: Design and document infrastructure services to meet performance, scalability, reliability, and security requirements.
• Manage and Administer Azure Environment: Provision, configure, and monitor Azure resources, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, reliability and security.
• Infrastructure Deployment: Provision and configure Azure resources including application services, databases, storage services, networking components, virtual machines, security services, and logging and monitoring services.
• Monitoring: Perform continuous monitoring of all environments and services to ensure adherence to SLAs and to identify service or infrastructure issues or security threats.
• Security and Compliance: Implement security measures and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., NIST 800-53 rev 5, SOC 2). Assist with routine audits.
