Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Azure Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable data solutions using Microsoft Azure technologies. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of data engineering concepts, cloud architecture, and experience with Azure data services to drive data initiatives and support analytics and reporting needs.

Key Responsibilities

1. Data Pipeline Development:
   • Design, build, and manage data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and integration from multiple data sources.
   • Implement ETL processes using Azure Data Factory (ADF), Databricks, and Azure Synapse Analytics.
2. Data Architecture & Storage:
   • Develop and maintain data architectures, such as data lakes, data warehouses, and structured/unstructured data storage.
   • Set up and manage Azure data storage solutions, including Azure SQL Database, Cosmos DB, and Data Lake Storage.
3. Data Transformation & Processing:
   • Use Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse, and other Azure tools to perform data processing, cleansing, and transformation.
   • Optimize data transformations for performance and scalability.
4. Data Security & Governance:
   • Implement data security and privacy best practices, including role-based access control, data encryption, and masking.
   • Maintain data quality, data governance, and compliance standards within the Azure environment.
5. Collaboration & Support:
   • Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements.
   • Provide technical support and troubleshoot issues with data solutions in the Azure environment.

Technical Skills

• Azure Services: Proficiency in Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, Data Lake, Azure SQL Database, Cosmos DB, and Blob Storage.
• Programming Languages: Strong skills in SQL and experience with Python, Scala, or Java.
• Data Modeling: Experience in data modeling and database design for data warehouses, data lakes, and other storage structures.
• ETL/ELT: Experience in designing, developing, and maintaining ETL/ELT processes.
• Big Data: Familiarity with big data frameworks and processing techniques.
• Data Visualization: Knowledge of Power BI, Tableau, or other visualization tools (optional but preferred).
