The company is located in Alexandria, VA and will be a hybrid model of 2 days on site a week.Required Skills & Experience:Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or PythonExpertise with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, or AnsibleExtensive experience with Azure services (e.g., Azure VMs, Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure Functions, Azure Storage)At least 5 years of experience in DevOps or a similar role, with a strong focus on automation and infrastructure as codeProven experience as a senior DevOps Engineer, focusing on designing and implementing CI/CD pipelinesDeep knowledge of containerization tools like Docker and orchestration tools like KubernetesStrong understanding of Linux/Unix operating systems and networking conceptsExperience with monitoring and logging tools such as Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana, and DatadogKnowledge of security best practices and experience implementing them in a DevOps environmentResponsibilitiesDesign, build, and maintain scalable and efficient CI/CD pipelines for various applicationsAutomate build, test, and deployment processes to achieve a streamlined and efficient release cycleImplement and manage Infrastructure as Code using tools such as TerraformCollaborate with development and operations teams to automate infrastructure provisioning and configurationUse Docker and Kubernetes to containerize applications and manage orchestration for scalable and resilient deploymentsOptimize containerized workloads for performance and resource efficiencyImplement and enforce security best practices for infrastructure, applications, and CI/CD pipelinesEnsure compliance with industry standards and regulations such as NISTCreate and maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure, processes, and proceduresContribute to knowledge sharing within the team and organizationDesired Skills & Experience:Bachelor's degree or higher (preferred) in IT or equivalent experienceTechnical experience in developing enterprise-level applicationsStrong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skillsUnderstanding of agile software development concepts and processesStrong collaboration, prioritization, and adaptability skillsAzure Certifications: Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) or higher, such as Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) or Azure DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400)CompTIA Security+: Validates IT security skills, relevant for ensuring security in DevOps practicesRed Hat Certifications: RHCSA or RHCE, for proficiency in managing Red Hat Enterprise Linux environmentsSystems Administrator Certifications: Including but not limited to Microsoft Certified: Windows Server or LPIC-1 for LinuxPrefer prior experience working with disaster or emergency management data
